Welcome to the AGSRA Newsletter!



Welcome to our new way of keeping everyone informed of what AGSRA does and how your donations help German Shepherd Dogs in need!

Beginning in March, 2018, this newsletter will let you in on what dogs we have helped and tell you about the individual hands-on rescues that have stepped up to save those dogs. Each dog will have his/her own "tail to tell" so you can get to know them better.

After restructuring last fall, AGSRA has been busy updating its web site. Once done, the site will include a link to this newsletter and vice-versa.We did assist many German Shepherds who were victims of the 2017 hurricanes as well as a number of other dogs nationwide.

Our amazing member, Travis Scarlett, will be working with me on this newsletter. He's a fantastic young man and a good writer; I look forward to working with him and his German Shepherd, Lem, AKA the floof.

AGSRA has been busy! Our web site at www.agsra.org has been very well received and Travis is doing a wonderful job at keeping all information current. A HUGE thanks to Travis for putting AGSRA on social media. The links to AGSRA on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest are all at the bottom of our home page. We have funded a number of GSD Rescues since the beginning of 2018; meet our Rescue of the Month , Tia! Tia came to Golden State German Shepherd Rescue, located in the Bay Area of northern California, from the Manteca Animal Shelter where she was picked up as a stray.  Miss Tia was found in very rough shape in the middle of January.  She is being treated for demodex due to flea allergies and she appears to have been injured by another animal.  Tia loves people and thoroughly enjoys meeting other dogs even though she is not feeling well.  She is currently on medical hold, but will be available soon.  It is amazing to see the transformation in this beautiful breed w
